Why Phaux Exists

The problem no one solved

Phaux started with a simple observation: self-tanners deal with problems no one is solving. One of the biggest? Post-tan odor. Anyone who spray tans knows the smell that can show up hours after your appointment. It is one of the most common frustrations in the entire spray tan experience, yet there were no products designed specifically to address it.

So we created one. Golden State pH Balancing Body Wash was developed to help neutralize post-spray tan odor while still supporting your glow.

And that is just the beginning.

Meet the Founders

Courtney and Maggie

Phaux was founded by Courtney and Maggie, two longtime spray tan lovers who were tired of dealing with the same problems every self-tanner knows too well.

With over a decade of experience in beauty product development and manufacturing, they had seen firsthand how products are created and realized that self-tanners had largely been overlooked. After years of spray tanning themselves and hearing the same frustrations from others, they decided to build the products they wished already existed.

Today, they are developing Phaux while also raising their young families, proving that even in the busiest seasons of life, there is always time for a great tan.
